Peter
Peter Amabile was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in West Islip, Long Island. He’s been based in Florida since 1975. His musical career spans decades and includes being the bassist for a rock group known as Flesh and a disco group called Calhoon. Calhoon was signed to the Warner Spector label from 1975 to 1979, putting out songs like Dance, Dance, Dance and a disco version of Soulman. Currently Peter also performs with another duo, Espree deKor. Performing together 40+ years, Peter and Chris often play in the Indian Rocks and surrounding areas of Florida.
Since playing with Never 2 Late, Peter says this, “All these years I’ve been playing, I found a true calling and passion to write and play Christian music. Playing in this duo with Cori blessed me with the ability to do that in and outside of church. Thank you one and all for supporting Never 2 Late. God bless.”
Peter is currently working on a Christian CD of original music and hopes to have it completed and available soon.
Cori
Raised on a dairy farm in northeast Ohio, Cori is the youngest of seven siblings. Her first exposure to music came from her mother who played both guitar and organ and sang bass in a women’s barbershop chorus. While her first instrumental lessons were on the organ, Cori would constantly get out her mother’s guitar and check to see if she could yet reach the neck and strings to play it. Finally given a smaller guitar of her own, the organ was soon forgotten and the guitar became her instrument of choice with no looking back! Cori can also play bass and tinkers with a few other instruments.
This singer/songwriter is most often vocally compared to Anne Murray. Cori has a country lean, but is just as comfortable covering artists such as Stevie Nicks, Bonnie Tyler, Rita Coolidge and others. Her singing experience includes choirs, ensembles and praise teams as well as a soloist and has performed for weddings, organizations, charity events, fundraisers, festivals and local venues.
A creative tomboy, Cori’s other interests include photography, drawing, painting, leather tooling, and many sports and outdoor activities.
